Afterschool Club Information

Art Club - Run by Jen Beetson.

Karate – Sensei Ashley Grainger has been teaching Karate in Winchcombe for eight years with the Shotokan Tora Winchcombe club. It started with an after school club at Winchcombe Primary (Thursday 3-30 to 4-30) and has two evening classes (Wed 6.30-7.30 and Friday 6.30-7.30) which are open to all ages and grades. Several of the parents have joined in and many of the higher grade students attend more than one lesson a week. He has a range of grades from beginner to black belt attending. Students can gain opportunities to progress. He teaches Shotokan Karate, which is part of an association called World Traditional Karate Organisation (WTKO), and has close links with many other karate associations and Japan.

Cross Country Running Club - a chance to enjoy the beautiful countryside which surrounds our school whilst improving fitness and building stamina.

Circuits - Mr Godding will be encouraging the children to challenge themselves with a variety of fitness stations designed to improve their physical well-being and improve their resilience and perseverance.

Pot Luck - Miss Palmer-Smith, will be leading with different activities each week, these may include: slime making, art, (basic) cooking, playground games, Lego and origami.  Bring along an old top/apron/clothes that can get messy.

Children will need their PE kit and appropriate footwear for the sports clubs.

Please be aware that some clubs have a minimum enrolment in order to proceed and maximum attendance, which will be managed on a first come basis. Please feel free to contact the office if you have any questions.
