Girls Cricket – KS2 girls can join this club coached by Mr Godding. Please bring a snack, drink, PE kit and trainers.
Football Club – This club is coached by Jake from Sports Challenge. Please bring P.E kit, including trainers or football boots, shin pads, snack and a drink.
Gymnastics – These Gymnastic sessions will be led by a British Artistic Gymnastics Association (BAGA) qualified coach and will provide your children the chance to learn and develop a wide range of Gymnastic skills of which they will use to work towards a repertoire of routines. The Club Coach will develop the children’s balance, co-ordination, strength and flexibility and will start the session with a thorough warm up, working on developing the core and limbering the legs and back. The children will then work on tumbling – forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands and bridges. They also work on their set positions – pike, straddle, tuck, fish etc.
We encourage the children to work in partners and develop their strength with basic lifts and partner work and use the apparatus for jumping and correct landing. Please send your child with a drink, hair tied back and no jewellery or piercings. We ask all children to wear shorts and a t-shirt or a leotard. This club is managed by Clubs Complete, and you may enrol and pay via their website: www.clubscomplete.co.uk
Karate – Sensei Ashley Grainger has been teaching Karate in Winchcombe for eight years with the Shotokan Tora Winchcombe club. It started with an after school club at Winchcombe Primary (Thursday 3-30 to 4-30) and has two evening classes (Wed 6.30-7.30 and Friday 6.30-7.30) which are open to all ages and grades. Several of the parents have joined in and many of the higher grade students attend more than one lesson a week. He has a range of grades from beginner to black belt attending. Students can gain opportunities to progress. He teaches Shotokan Karate, which is part of an association called World Traditional Karate Organisation (WTKO), and has close links with many other karate associations and Japan.
Rounders – All KS2 children can join Miss Jabczynski, our Head of PE, on the field for this fun Rounders Club. Please bring a snack, drink, PE kit and trainers.
Please be aware that some clubs have a minimum enrolment in order to proceed and maximum attendance, which will be managed on a first come basis. Please feel free to contact the office if you have any questions.
